Chengdu Kaiyuan Rolls Co., Ltd is formally Chengdu Jinlong Metallurgical Material Co., Ltd. Renamed in 2011, the company is located in Xinjin Industrial park, Chengdu city, Sichuan Province, specialize in production and development of high speed tool steel (HSS) roll rings and sleeves.
Starting from year 2001, the company has been continuously investing substantially in the development of high speed tool steel roll rings for over ten years. After thousands times of tests, hundreds of times of mill rolling, and thanks to support from labs of several universities, professional corporations, experts, professors, and engineers from various steel companies, a complete package of production technology including chemical composition, melting process, heat treatment process, machining process are finalized. The whole production facility was also computerized in 2011. At present, the company is capable of producing: HSS ring roll (Φ216mm-Φ450mm) 8,000 – 10,000 pcs/a; HSS roll sleeve 5,000- 8,000 pcs/a; Kinds of rolls includeΦ285mm, Φ230mm, Φ216mm ring rolls for Morgan high speed rod mill; Φ360mm KOCKS RSB roll of 70mm and 75mm thickness; Φ335mm-Φ430mm HSS composite roll for rod and bar rolling mills; HSS looper rollers for rod & bar mills; Starting from year 2010, Kaiyuan HSS rolls have been supplied to over ten steel companies in China and won great appreciation among customers. Kaiyuan HSS roll is leading the PRC market with its’ high wear resistance and high cost efficiency;
Environment-friendship
No pollution emission during production：Melting and heat treatment of Kingyear W16 HSS rolls are carried out with electric power, no consumption of mineral energy, no generation of sulphide, dust or waste water.
Raw material with low sulfur content and recycled material are massively used：ESR ingot with low sulfur content is massively used for the production of W16 serial HSS rolls;
Machining debris and other waste material from tool manufacturing shops are reclaimed for the production of W16 serial HSS rolls, turning process waste into value and protect our environment.
The rolls will have long service life hence reduce the rolling consumption：The groove life of Kingyear W16 serial HSS rolls is much higher than other types of steel rolls, the number of redressing times is well above other steel rolls, hence the overall service life is considerably longer. The average consumption of Kingyear W16 HSS rolls is much lower for rolling operation.
Machining debris and discard rolls are all reclaimed：Debris from machining workshop, grinding waste and discard rolls from customers are reclaimed by Kingyear, for the production of W16 serial HSS rolls. This not only protects our environment, but also lowers operation cost for the customers.
